Delete your data

You can delete everything CommerceTrace stores about your store or account, and you do not need to ask us to. Pick whichever of these suits you. The privacy policy explains what is stored and why.

1. Delete your store's data in the app

  1. Open CommerceTrace from your Shopify Admin (Apps → CommerceTrace), or sign in at commercetrace.com/app.
  2. Open Account and choose Delete this store's data.
  3. Type DELETE to confirm.

This removes the audits, findings, shared report links and stored connections for that store. It is permanent. Only the store owner or a collaborator can do it.

2. Uninstall the app

Uninstalling CommerceTrace from Shopify (Settings → Apps) stops it reading your store at once. Shopify then tells us to erase the store's data, which it usually does about two days after the uninstall, and we delete it when we receive that request.

3. Disconnect Google Analytics

In the app, choose Account → Disconnect Google Analytics. We delete the stored connection and ask Google to revoke the token. You can also remove the access yourself at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

4. Ask us by email

Email contact@commercetrace.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my data”. We delete everything associated with your store or account within 30 days and confirm when it is done.

What is deleted automatically

The free storefront check

The free check on the home page is not tied to an account, so there is no account to delete. If you asked for the result by email, we used your address for that one message and did not save it.

Meta and Google Ads

CommerceTrace does not read Meta (Facebook or Instagram) or Google Ads today, so it stores no data from them. If that changes, this page will list how to remove it.

Your rights under data-protection law, and how to use them, are in section 11 of the privacy policy.
